EDITORIAL
It is with great pleasure that I invite you, dear reader, to this, the festive edition of the Karma Chronicles. For those to whom I have yet had the opportunity of introducing myself, my name is Chris Diplock and I am the Karma Villas Customer Services Director. And with that, perhaps I should dispense with the slightly Dickensian phraseology - forgive me, it must be an overload of Christmas cheer!
Speaking of Christmas cheer, our main feature this edition is filled with it. Each year, we squeeze the maximum amount of enjoyment from the festive season period with our regular 12 Days of Karma calendar and 2011/12 is no exception. Read on for an insight into just what we have on offer, whether you’re an in house guest or just fancy swinging by for one of the many special events - especially if you’re a lover of global cuisine and culture! Plus, you’ll find the full rundown of happenings in our events section, which includes a feature on the man who’ll be providing much of the music down at Nammos Beach Club throughout the 12 Days.
If this time of year is about indulging, it doesn’t get much more indulgent than a great treatment at Karma Spa. This edition, spa curator Judy invites you to experience a brand new indigenous wellness experience at Karma Samui and introduces the Gentleman’s Grooming Menu at Karma Kandara. And if it all feels too impossibly relaxing, never fear - guests at our Jimbaran and Kandara resorts get complimentary yoga classes each week, if you want to work off the previous evenings culinary excesses.
Patrons of the much loved RockPool restaurant and lounge at Karma Samui will be excited to learn that we have a new and extremely talented executive chef. More about him in the news section, as well as a sneak peek at the latest Karma Royal resort, our very first in Australia.
