I'm delighted to settle once again into the editorial hot seat here at Karma Chronicles after an extended hiatus during which time I was not to be found sunning myself on the beach, but was concentrating on my role as GM of Karma Jimbaran - a position I thoroughly enjoyed. I have now handed over the reins to a new young man who I'm sure will prove a great asset. More about that in the news section. We have an action packed Chronicles for you this month. Our features section includes some ruminations on the whole Eat, Pray, Love phenomenon and how it relates to some of the latest developments at Karma. We also sit down with our new, dedicated sommelier, Karim Benramdane, who’ll be sharing some things he's heard on the grapevine as it were.
We also spotlight what is perhaps the most luxurious property in Bali (it just happens to be located at Karma Kandara). Our silver-tongued chef Simon Blaby ponders the relationship between 'Feud & Whine' in his regular Simon Says section, while we have a raft of exciting happenings to report on in our events section. We also look forward to a strong focus on wellness later in the year, as Karma welcomes some masters in a range of healing modalities. Karma looks towards sustainability in the news, as well as welcoming an exciting and dynamic new face to the team. There's more, but I don’t need to give everything away. Let me just wrap things up by wishing you a joyous June and more immediately, a riveting read...

Bali is not short on spectacular properties - since the seventies it's been something of a magnet for those with a penchant for the grand aesthetic, from well healed bohemians building whimsical tree houses to bankers building faux renaissance palaces.
