Welcome to the April edition of Karma Chronicles, which finds the Karma team here in Bali beset by unseasonably clamorous April showers and even thunderstorms, which have been occurring most afternoons. No matter, the mornings are all the brighter and clearer for them. In this month’s Karma Chronicles, we turn our attention westward, with an in depth look at what makes Karma Pelikanos, Karma’s latest property on the Greek island of Mykonos, so charming. Interior designer Celia Campbell gives us the lowdown. There’s another new boutique property for Karma acolytes to enjoy too – this time in the Indian subcontinent – a converted 100-year old palace no less, in the colourful city of Jaipur.
April and May also sees two exciting performers arriving at Kandara – a DJ and a vocalist, both of whom are at the top of their respective professions. Karma Spa continues to innovate – spa curator Judy Chapman introduces us to two new treatments guaranteed to trigger bliss. We’ve also been inundated with celebrities over the last couple of months – check out our celebrity sightings section for the gossip. The ever-eloquent Simon Blaby shares some autobiographical confessions while paying homage to his colleagues, K Boutique proudly presents an exciting new designer and we welcome a new member of staff on board. Yes it’s a packed edition this month. But then again, as they say, it never rains, but it pours.

We interviewed Celia Campbell, the designer behind the interiors of this palatial yet idyllic 6-bedroom residence, for a style insight...

And what better base from which to explore it all than the beautifully renovated environs of a 100 year old palace..?
