In the news section this edition, Karma chairman has been especially busy, both sharing his knowledge as an inspirational speaker and absorbing information gleaned from all of the Karma staff. And the Karma Jimbaran team have been keeping things spick and span, not only in the resort grounds either.

KARMA CHAIRMAN INSPIRES
Karma’s visionary chairman John Spence was invited to participate in The Forum, a high profile meeting of hospitality professionals which took place in London from Dec 09-10 at the 5-star Sofitel at Heathrow Airport’s brand new Terminal 5. As the progenitor of two of the Asian hospitality industry’s most successful and well-regarded brands, John was asked to share the knowledge and passion that has seen him and his companies soar during his 25 years in the industry. |

LISTENING, UNDERSTANDING, RESPONDING
The entire Karma staff was recently asked to provide feedback on every aspect of their experience as part of the Karma community. This was no ordinary consultation however, Karma chairman John Spence took it upon himself to review every response personally. We’re happy to report that the feedback was extremely positive and that all issues raised are being addressed. Perhaps the most welcome change will be the across-the-board salary increase that has already been approved – but a host of other innovations are also underway that will prove beneficial not only for the Karma team, but for the growth of the brand, our guests and the environments and communities in which our resorts are situated. |

KARMA JIMBARAN CLEAN UP
The staff at Karma Jimbaran recently took it upon themselves to conduct a major clean up of the surrounding environment. Working alongside Jimbaran Lestari, an organization dedicated to solid waste management, recycling and composting, the Jimbaran team were able to make a visible and lasting different to the area, focusing both on roads surrounding the resort as well as the beach. |
