The Kandara community continues to grow, as Kandara continues to steadily develop the limestone plateau it occupies at the southern tip of Bali into a paradise that mixes mellow Mediterranean vibes with the natural exoticism of the tropics. Very soon, owners and guests will be taking up residence at the brand new villas of Phase 4.
Phase 4 of development at Karma Kandara is set on an elevated tract of land and comprises 11 villas, each boasting three substantial bedrooms and a study. Three of the villas come complete with a luxurious junior suite, including Jacuzzi, on the lower level. All master bedrooms are oriented to offer views of the Indian Ocean as well as the lush gardens of the resort itself spread out below.
Interiors are by ZAPP Design, under the innovative direction of partners Joao and Rey. Guided by an organic, aesthetic that is warm yet unmistakably contemporary, ZAPP Designs are also environmental, sourcing teak wood from sustainable plantations. Pieces include substantial L-sofas, four posters and vast, low-slung Japanese style bed frames and woven scoops.
Like all Karma villas, Phase 4 boasts state of the art electronics and appliances including HD TV and SMEG & Liebher products in the kitchen. Private pools are 8 x 4 metres in length and are ensconced in vivid tropical gardens. “All villas should be completed by the end of the year, early next year at the latest,” says Director of Design & Construction Richard Manser. “We’re currently working on the landscaping and the furniture is complete and will be delivered very soon,” he adds.
