SINGAPORE BOUTIQUE
Karma owner Leslie Tan is the proprietor of one of Bali’s most sophisticated high-end furniture, home ware and jewellery stores – Mien. She also happens to be an accomplished artist, which in part explains her decision to open a high profile new gallery in her native Singapore. Occupying an old fires station, Muse gallery will showcase the works of Singaporean and Singapore based artists, hopefully providing them with a springboard to the future. The inaugural show, which opened in September, is a solo exhibition by Leslie herself, featuring works in oils and Chinese inks, from portraits to abstract works. Bali is a constant refrain in her work – which is precisely what brought her to Karma. |

KARMA SPA'S NEW SPA MANAGER
We are honored to welcome aboard I Nyoman Suwendra, Karma Spa manager who has taken the reigns at both Jimbaran and Kandara spas. Suwendra brings over a decade of sound experience in the spa industry. Previous appointments including spa manager for The Legain (ghmhotels) in Seminyak and 2 years spa manager for Jiwa Spa at The Conrad in Bali. As well he spent time overseas with Mandara Spas setting up and overseeing new spas. |
KARMA ROYAL GROUP 16TH ANNIVERSARY
South Beach style club Ocean’s 27 provided the venue for the celebration of 16 years of the Karma Royal Group. Our own Creations team & Bali Starz teamed up to bring some top-flight entertainment including Siluet band and our very own Rolling Door (featuring members of Creations Design Lounge). Add fire dancers conjuring a flaming phoenix, while hula hooping with fire, an inspired speech from chairman John Spence, an awards ceremony and a photo opp where all 500 attendees were caught in one shot and you have the perfect recipe for a mid week ho down of mammoth proportions.
