This September, Karma Kandara and Karma Jimbaran welcomes two of the UK’s most experienced and highly regarded healers & spiritual guides, Ellie Sand and Mark Charlwood, to conduct a series of workshops and private consultations at the resorts.

Over a two-week period between the 6th and the 17th of September, Ellie and Mark will be hosting a series of workshops – the Alchemy of the Mind (Wednesday 8 September), the Journey of the Soul (Saturday and Sunday 11 & 12 September), and Sacred Space and Soul Rescue (Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 September) – and private counseling sessions.

Ellie Sand is expert in clearing trapped and traumatized entities. She is also a practicing shaman, able to guide individuals towards genuine transformation by helping them understand what truly drives the choices they make.

She is widely revered as one of the most accomplished practitioners of the spiritual and esoteric arts in the western world today. Her vast storehouse of experience encompasses traditions including astrology, alchemy, shamanism and geomancy, all of which is rooted in her psychic abilities she has possessed since childhood. She honed her skills as a medium from her teens onward, training as a Rescue Medium with a revered local teacher.

Mark Charlwood’s areas of expertise include craniosacral therapy, shiatsu, osteopathy, homeopathy, feng shui, earth acupuncture (clearing blocks in the earth’s meridians), geomancy and dousing.

Guigal wines : A History

Guigal was established in 1946 by Étienne Guigal, who had worked for Vidal Fleury for 15 years before setting up his own business. It has been managed by his son Marcel Guigal since 1961.

In 1984, Guigal bought Vidal Fleury but continues to operate it as a separate business. In 2000, Guigal bought and absorbed two other wineries: the estate Jean-Louis Grippat in Saint-Joseph and the Domaine de Vallouit, with vineyard holdings in Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage, which added some high-end vineyards in other appellations to the Guigal range. In 2006 the Domaine de Bonserine was purchased by Guigal.[5] In recent years, Marcel’s son Philippe Guigal has been active as a winemaker at Guigal.[1][6]

Guigal, under Marcel Guigal, came to international fame in the early- to mid-1980s when Robert M. Parker, Jr. followed by other wine critics heaped praise on Guigal’s top Côte-Rôtie wines, in particular the three single vineyard wines La Mouline, La Landonne and La Turque. Parker comments that “In the past 26 years I have spent visiting wineries and vignerons, I have never seen a producer so fanatical about quality as Marcel Guigal.”[3] This attention contributed to the Rhône wines’ improved international fame in general, and in particular led Côte-Rôtie to be seen more on par with Hermitage than in previous times.[1] This also meant that the top Côte-Rôtie wines increased in price to reach and later follow and sometimes surpass that of the top Hermitage wines.[4]

In 2006 Marcel Guigal was awarded the Decanter Man of the Year award for his contribution and dedication to the Rhône.[7]

Brett Crittenden Bio

Brett has been involved with the wine industry for more than 30 years. Australian, living in the UK and having worked in Australia, Argentina, France, UK, USA and Russia, he certainly has a very global perspective of the wine industry!

His passion and enthusiasm for fine wine is very refreshing and he loves to share his knowledge. Brett has also been a senior International Wine Judge for more than 25 years.

Having graduated from Australia’s most prestigious wine school, Roseworthy College, he has worked importing and retailing many of the great wines of the world before having more than a decade with LVMH (Moet & Chandon) in Australia, Argentina and the UK.

Currently Brett is working with many of the greatest wine estates in the world including Guigal in the Rhone Valley and the best Domaine’s in Burgundy, Italy and Spain along with his personal favourites from Australia and New Zealand and the USA.

Brett is a regular wine educator and was a contributor to television and radio for many years in Australia. He now contributes to a number of international journals, teaches at sommelier schools and loves to talk to consumers and share his passion of wine! His experience and knowledge of wine make him one of the best communicators to any audience. For entertainment or serious education, it flows naturally from the heart.
Brett was a past President of the Wine & Food Society of Victoria and is a member of the Order de Coteaux de Champagne, a member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux and was co-author of the “wines of Chile” published in Russia.

Sébastien Léger is one of the most outstanding artists in the recent electronic music business, an exceptionally gifted producer who is operating far beyond all the French filter house clichés.

In 1998 he started creating his own house productions, or even techno, still completed with syncopations and funk sounds. In 1998 Sébastien published his first EPs under the alias Deaf’n'Dumb Crew.

Over the following years Sébastien was releasing more than 30 records on many international labels, building his worldwide reputation and contributing an essential element to its musical evolution. 1999 saw Sébastien Léger´s first album “Atomic Pop” coming out including a great appearance of Junior Sanchez. Parallel to building his international DJ career Sébastien Léger is one of the world´s most demanded remixers, working for artists like Armand Van Helden, Kevin Saunderson, Ron Carroll, Jakatta feat Seal or Paul Johnson, or labels like Defected or Intec just to name a few!

Consequent progression in his production work, the great variety of house music colours in his tracks, the construction and arrangement of its electro and funky rhythms, all these ingredients helped to establish his position at the forefront of reconstructing contemporary electronic music. As a result of this you can find Sébastien Léger´s releases on world famous imprints such as Carl Cox’s Intec, Defected or Josh Wink’s Ovum just to give a brief summary. After gaining a lot of success and appreciation in Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, the US and the Netherlands Sébastien Léger is only at the beginning of conquering the electronic music world, giving his audience the great chance to dive into the electro bath.

Rob Kay is a highly established name within the Australian club scene. Pauli440 is one of Australia’s leading men on the trumpet, having toured throughout Australasia along some of the world’s finest musicians, playing with a range as diverse as Kaskade, James Morrison, Ben Folds Five and Kid Kenobi.
